We’re pleased to give you a brief update on Smartabase’s dashboard builder.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you haven’t tried the dashboard builder yet, check out\u00a0<\/span>our helpful guide<\/a>. We’ll show you how to set up dashboards, use dashboard components and understand the data being displayed within your dashboards.<\/span><\/p>\n

Record cards and click-through for tiles, time series charts and categorical charts<\/span><\/h4>\n

In the last version of the dashboard builder, we released the record card function and click-through ability for tables<\/a> and XY scatter charts<\/a>. In this release, you’ll be able to use this functionality with more widgets – the tile<\/a>, time series chart<\/a> and categorical chart<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because these widget types can use aggregated data<\/a>, we’ve built in a record selection process that lets you choose which record to view a card for. You can easily search the record list from the selection page, then pick a record to view in more detail. If click-through is enabled, you’ll be able to then go to the source record.<\/span><\/p>\n

More flexibility when aggregating data<\/span><\/h4>\n

When aggregating using count, nth maximum, and nth minimum, it is now possible to apply the aggregation to unique values only. Using the unique function is a way of ensuring that repeated values are ignored and only unique values are aggregated.<\/span><\/p>\n

This means that, for example, if you want a tile<\/a> to display the third highest running distance (m) for a day and the data included the values 1000, 2000, 2000, 3000, 3000 and 4000, you could use the unique<\/em>\u00a0 function with the\u00a0 nth maximum<\/em> aggregation to get the tile to display the correct value of 2000.<\/span><\/p>\n
