This release includes new features which improve the login experience for those using multi-factor authentication (MFA) and provide more customisation options when it comes to saving records. Here\u2019s a short list of what\u2019s new:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">More save button customisations in a better layout.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Improved multi-factor authentication set-up process.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">A specific function to calculate exponentially weighted moving averages (EWMA).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Ability to continue editing event forms while files are uploaded.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The work we&#8217;ve been doing to improve Smartabase is significant and we want to be sure each of our customers has a smooth experience during the upgrade from version 6.7 to 6.8. This means we&#8217;ll be releasing version 6.8 gradually for all of you through the coming weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333333;\">New layout and capabilities for save properties<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">When you\u2019re building a form, you\u2019ll see save properties located in their own sidebar section. You can now configure <\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/save-properties-for-forms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">save buttons<\/a> <span style=\"color: #333333;\">to work with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/restriction-policies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">restriction policies<\/a> <span style=\"color: #333333;\">and usage criteria to make sure that each record is saved, locked and exported by the right people at the right time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7379 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Save-properties-screenshot-1-e1615856953863.png\" alt=\"A screenshot of save properties in an event form\" width=\"600\" height=\"346\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">You can apply a<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/restriction-policies\/\">restriction policy<\/a> <span style=\"color: #333333;\">to each save button, so that only people with that policy as part of their role can use the save button. Nothing about the save behaviour of your forms should change with the release except your ability to make additional customisations.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Improved multi-factor authentication set-up process<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">We\u2019ve made some significant changes to your process for setting up <\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/multi-factor-authentication-mfa\/\">MFA<\/a> <span style=\"color: #333333;\">. When you first log in to Smartabase, you\u2019ll see prompts to set up an appropriate channel for your MFA codes (email, SMS and\/or an authentication app). You\u2019ll also have the opportunity to test your communication preference to ensure your account is set up correctly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7341 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/MFA-screenshot-2-e1615858184455.png\" alt=\"A screenshot of the multi-factor authentication methods\" width=\"600\" height=\"325\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">We\u2019ve also included backup MFA codes for situations when you\u2019re unable to use your usual communication method.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7342 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/MFA-screenshot-6-e1615533225836.png\" alt=\"A screenshot of the multi-factor authentication backup codes screen\" width=\"600\" height=\"325\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Calculate exponentially weighted moving average<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">We\u2019ve added a new function for<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/history-calculations\/\">history calculations<\/a> <span style=\"color: #333333;\">to determine exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA). The <strong>historicalewma<\/strong> function calculates the EWMA of a value based on the number of days in the decay period (i.e. the decay constant) and the event date as a <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/date-calculations\/\">date calculation<\/a>. To calculate the EWMA of <strong>Total Training Load<\/strong> using a decay constant of seven days, you could use the following formula:<\/span><\/p>\n<pre><span style=\"color: #333333;\">historicalewma(Total Training Load, Historical Total Training Load, Date Calculation, Historical Date Calculation, 7)<\/span><\/pre>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7267\" src=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Historical-EWMA-function.png\" alt=\"A screenshot of the historical EWMA function\" width=\"291\" height=\"637\" srcset=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Historical-EWMA-function.png 291w, https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Historical-EWMA-function-137x300.png 137w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 291px) 100vw, 291px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Upload files in the background while continuing to edit the form<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Previously, when you<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/attaching-information-to-a-form\/\">uploaded a file<\/a> <span style=\"color: #333333;\">to an event form, you weren&#8217;t able to carry on making changes while the file uploaded. We\u2019ve improved this process and files now upload in the background so that you can continue filling in and editing the record. This applies to<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/document\/\">file uploads<\/a><span style=\"color: #333333;\">,<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/multi-file-upload\/\">multi-file uploads<\/a> <span style=\"color: #333333;\">and<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/attaching-information-to-a-form\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">attachments<\/a><span style=\"color: #333333;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333333;\">General improvements<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The password reset page is now mobile-friendly, so you can open a password reset link from email from your phone or tablet.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">We&#8217;ve adjusted internal <\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/your-inbox\/\">messaging<\/a> <span style=\"color: #333333;\"> so that you can more easily choose which recipients to send content to. Previously, all group members were selected by default. We made this change to help prevent sending information to people unintentionally.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">When you view a report, history or table with a column for a<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/wet-signature\/\">signature field<\/a> <span style=\"color: #333333;\">, the signature will be visible rather than the &#8220;signed&#8221; text.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The multi-factor authentication key is no longer visible on the <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/user-accounts\/\">account<\/a> screen. If you need to set up an authentication app, check out the<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/multi-factor-authentication-mfa\/\">multi-factor authentication<\/a><span style=\"color: #333333;\"> article.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">We\u2019ve improved the styling of the<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/smartabase-system-permissions\/\">site switching<\/a> <span style=\"color: #333333;\">feature (enterprise sites only).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">We\u2019ve added an icon to the text indicator showing which <\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/groups-2\/\">group<\/a> <span style=\"color: #333333;\"> is loaded in your browser.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Bug fixes<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">We\u2019ve resolved an issue with the layout of the password confirmation field on the<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/registration\/\"><span class=\"fabric-editor-annotation\" data-mark-type=\"annotation\" data-mark-annotation-type=\"inlineComment\" data-id=\"937fa0ec-3453-4151-86ec-9078fbb3089f\">account registration<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span class=\"fabric-editor-annotation\" data-mark-type=\"annotation\" data-mark-annotation-type=\"inlineComment\" data-id=\"937fa0ec-3453-4151-86ec-9078fbb3089f\"> page<\/span>. This page is only visible when registration is enabled for your Smartabase site.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">We\u2019ve fixed some styling for date selectors in the Smartabase mobile app.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">We\u2019ve also adjusted the styling to increase the visibility of the error message for files that aren\u2019t able to be previewed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">We\u2019ve resolved an issue with the<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/smartabase-system-permissions\/\">download all files<\/a> <span style=\"color: #333333;\">feature where only files attached to the first row of a table were being downloaded.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">We\u2019ve fixed an issue where table fields were showing in PDF reports, even if the field was set up to not show in PDF reports.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">We\u2019ve resolved an issue where it was possible to save and lock a record while a file was being uploaded. This button is now greyed out until the file has finished uploading.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Previously, a record could not be saved if there was a hidden table in the form containing required fields.
