As a part of this release you\u2019ll find the added capability to display custom dates or times across a time series charts, as well as a new feature to work with nested CSV data stored in your data sources.<\/p>\n<p>If you haven\u2019t tried the dashboard builder yet, check out\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/dashboard-builder-overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">our helpful guide<\/a>. We\u2019ll show you how to set up dashboards, use dashboard components and understand the data being displayed within your dashboards.<\/p>\n<h3>Choose custom date or time field on time series charts<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7295 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/timeseries-chart-time-table-data-e1615169654218.png\" alt=\"An example screenshot showing time-based data on a time series chart.\" width=\"600\" height=\"230\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In previous versions of the dashboard builder, <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/time-series-chart-widget\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">time series charts<\/a> could only break information down by the <strong>event date <\/strong>of a record. This release includes the ability to choose a different date or time field from your event form to display across the x-axis of your chart. You can also adjust the format that the date or time is displayed in using standard <a href=\"https:\/\/d3-wiki.readthedocs.io\/zh_CN\/master\/Time-Formatting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">time format directives<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7297 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/time-series-chart-x-axis-settings-e1615170117826.png\" alt=\"An example screenshot of applying a custom time input format to use alternative time formats on a time series chart.\" width=\"600\" height=\"439\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Visualise nested CSV data in dashboards<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Note:<\/strong> using this feature without consideration of the volume of data can impact a dashboard\u2019s performance. We\u2019ve added a feature to the <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/managing-your-data-sources\/\">data source<\/a> configuration page where you can identify a field containing nested CSV data and specify the column headers (i.e. metrics) included.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7281 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/nested-csv-data-source-settings-example-300x243.png\" alt=\"An example screenshot showing how to enter nested CSV fields into a data source.\" width=\"300\" height=\"243\" srcset=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/nested-csv-data-source-settings-example-300x243.png 300w, https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/nested-csv-data-source-settings-example.png 516w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to this feature, you\u2019ll be able to use existing dashboard <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/adding-a-widget\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">widgets<\/a> to visualise and aggregate nested CSV data. For example, you could set up a <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/tile-widget\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tile widget<\/a> to display the average heart rate over a training session, or plot speed over the whole session on a <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/time-series-chart-widget\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">time series chart<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7291 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/timeseries-chart-nested-csv-e1615169916240.png\" alt=\"An example screenshot of a time series chart displaying speed over a training session.\" width=\"600\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>General improvements and bug fixes<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"ak-ul\">\n<li>We\u2019ve resolved an issue <span class=\"fabric-editor-annotation\" data-mark-type=\"annotation\" data-mark-annotation-type=\"inlineComment\" data-id=\"b0ad9125-7575-443d-a70c-7001da284806\">in the builder interface<\/span> where the <strong>clear<\/strong> button wasn\u2019t working correctly when setting up <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/article\/dashboard-instructions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">instructional content<\/a> in dashboard widgets, sections and canvases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Highlights from your last dashboard builder release notes<\/h3>\n<p>In the last release notes, for version 2.42 of the dashboard builder, we announced the following changes:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ak-ul\">\n<li>We added improvements to how sample data is displayed when building dashboards.<\/li>\n<li>We improved how dashboards display on larger screens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you missed those release notes, you can <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.fusionsport.com\/help\/2021\/01\/19\/dashboard-builder-2-42-release-notes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">read them here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Version 2.43 of the dashboard builder has been released.
